Wahke Ostrava.

The Highbay 480i lights were tailor-made to meet the specific needs of a professional indoor cultivation facility in Ostrava. Each unit is equipped with spectrum-tuned chips precisely matched to the growth and developmental needs of cannabis cultivated for CBD production — from the vegetative stage through to flowering.

Since this is a CBD-focused operation, we collaborated closely with the client and their grower to customize the spectrum and individual channels to achieve the desired outcome. Because the lights are used in a single room throughout the entire growth cycle, we subtly modified the warm white spectrum and replaced traditional UV chips with 437 nm and 450 nm diodes. This created a "dual blue wave" effect that promotes stronger rooting and denser, bushier plant structures.

It's important to note that in CBD production, UV light can negatively impact cannabinoid balance — reducing CBD levels while increasing THC, which is legally undesirable. For this reason, we chose this adjusted spectrum. The setup also enhances absorption of both chlorophyll A and B, resulting in visibly larger leaves, thicker stems, and higher nutrient content in the plants.

This configuration is an ideal choice for growers aiming to produce more robust plants and achieve higher yields and product quality — all while maintaining low energy consumption.

An additional 740 nm channel is included for plant "stretch" when needed, or at the end of the day during flowering to encourage earlier sleep cycles, effectively shortening the flowering phase.

Beyond lighting, we also designed and manufactured custom grow tables specifically tailored to the unique space requirements of this facility.
